Today is the first day of 2018! Another year, another time in history and another chance for you to make this the best year ever! Of course, you may not have control of everything that happens but you do have control on how you surrender it. This new year, commit yourself to surrenderance. Commit yourself to success. Commit yourself to move forward and towards, never wavering and never turning back. Here are 4 must-have 2018 resolutions: 1. Press On: Have a “regardless of” mentality. This year may come with challenges, press on regardless. At the end of 2018 you want to be able to say, “This year I faced ________ but I pressed on regardless”. I challenge you to take a chance on your dreams and regardless of the outcome, “press on”. 2. Tenacity: It is the ability to grip something firmly with persistence, determination and perseverance. Grab on to your faith and grapple it. Grip on to THE TRUTH and do not let it go even if the naysayers tell you you’re crazy. They may say you’re foolish because they haven’t walked a day in your shoes nor lived a day of your testimony. Tell your story and hold on tight. Be tenacious, be bold and be brave. 3. Move Toward: In order for you to move forward, you must extend yourself. There may be achievements that have been out of your reach for a long time because you have not extended yourself. Make this a year of focus and growth. Prepare and equip yourself, tune into God’s will and quiet the extra noise. You will never move toward if your reaching in all directions. Focus on the task at hand and go for it! 4. Move Forward: You cannot move forward if you’re trying to carry your past into the future. Let last years heartbreak stay there, let last year’s failures stay there and please leave the pain in the past. Focus on today, stop mourning your losses, forget what’s behind and BE PRESENT. Lose the weight of the past and gain more endurance to accept the present and change the future. Wishing you a happy, blessed and full of accomplishments New Year! Love, Zuleika Philippians 3:12-14 New International Version (NIV) 12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
