God Cares for You

Have you ever found yourself in a moment in your life where you felt unimportant to someone that you wanted to impress so severely? It could be a significant other, a parent, or even your boss. It feels like you are doing everything in your power to please them, and it still does not seem enough? It can make you feel like they do not care about you. I know that I have been in that place, and I have felt unheard, unappreciated, and unimportant. My favorite thing about the God we serve is that He always cares for us. He always listens. He sees our struggles, our sacrifices, and He genuinely cares. 1 Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your cares on Him because He cares about you.” How amazing is it that the creator of the universe knows your name and cares about you? I know that we sometimes want to impress the important people in our lives, but we must rely on our Heavenly Father to hear, understand, and love us. At the end of the day, what He thinks of us is far superior to what anyone else may think of us. We can spend all of our lives trying to please man, and we may never accomplish that, but even without trying to impress God, you are set apart and important to Him. The next time someone makes you feel less-than, pray this prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank you for caring about me. You care about me as no one else could. Help me thrive on pleasing you and not man. Help me prioritize what You think about me over what others think about me. Help me love the current me without having to change myself to impress those around me. You say that I am beautifully and wonderfully made, and I claim that today. I thank You for hearing me, appreciating me, and calling me essential. Amen.

“I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wondrously made.” Psalms 139:14
