Hey sis, in the Bible, there's a story of a man who had been sick for 38 years in John 5:1-8. Jesus finds him by the pool called Bethesda, waiting for his miraculous healing. Jesus asks him, "Do you want to get well?" The man replies, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred, but while I am coming, another steps down before me."
Jesus tells him, "Rise! Take up your bed and walk." Immediately the man was made well and took his bed and walked.
We can learn from this story and apply it to our life to "Rise" and do our part to receive the healing we need. We may not be paralyzed, but our life situations can paralyze us. We've been struggling for many, many years with strongholds that have kept us bound. Like the man, we've held on to the belief that we have no one to help us, that we're alone, that we will never be free from the bondage. Waiting on someone else and depending on people to provide you the healing you need may keep you in more bondage than you know.
Like the man, you may have also found yourself talking more about your struggles than the success you want to achieve. You are talking about pain instead of seeking the healing you need. You may become so consumed by your current circumstances that you don't believe that you can ever get well. And like him, your excuses may be many more than your expectations. Sis, no matter what seems to be limiting you, you can rise and handle the false belief about any condition. We often attempt to address the discord before increasing our thoughts, and confusion is the result. We may become so interested in seeking a material cure for our trouble to forget, but there is only one Healer, and that Healer is God.
