In all of my twenty-nine years of living, I have never seen our nation in complete fear. Fear of death, fear of finances, fear of coughing, fear of sneezing, fear of interacting with others, and simply fear of the unknown. To be completely honest with you, I can admit that I have also experience some type of fear. I am currently an employee for the government and am considered an essential employee. If you don’t fall under the high risk criteria you are required to continue to report to work. Week after week, day after day, more guideline after more guidelines, I continue to go to work not knowing if today will be the day I contract the virus. That doesn’t sound like Godly thinking right? Can I be honest with you? Those are the thoughts that cross my mind and worst, will I bring it home to my baby girl? My daughter is 2 years old and if she would contract the virus she would not be able to fight off the virus like I could. I had to decide whether or not I wanted to continue to go to work with pay or not and be without pay. No matter what I decided to do I knew I had to sacrifice. Do I support my child financially or put my child at risk with the virus? That was one of the toughest decisions I had to make as a mother. Was I being fearful? I’m not sure why the Coronavirus has impacted the United States the way it has right now. But, I do know that God will get the glory. I believe that during these days most Americans are struggling with fear and anxiety, however God wants us to fully trust and believe that He is with us always. God is our Protector and Provider. Every-time we leave our homes and go into the craziness we call our world right now, WE must believe that God has His angels encamped all around us. WE must believe that no weapon form against us shall prosper. We must know that ALL things work together for our good. WE must know that God says, ask and you shall receive! HE is our provider. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound-mind. I pray that during these tough times we seek God like never before. Talk to God. Let Him know how you're feeling, but also allow God to speak to you. I believe that there is no coincidence that we are being force into isolation. How many of us are really taking advantage of the silence? Are we using the free time to draw closer to God? Let us build our faith and trust in God. Let us pray more. Let us silence the world from fear and remind the world where true peace comes from. Christians, it is our time to shine God's light through-out our nation. Let’s proclaim who Jesus is. Let us rebuke COVID-19 and declare Fear to be gone in Jesus Name, Amen! Signed With Peace, Jovonna Coleman *Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the holy-spirit. *1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on guard, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong. *Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you, he will never leave you nor forsake you.
